Not a lamp but an iron (or doorstop). The tank looks American, like Coleman. The iron itself not, with that decoration and red knob. Does anybody have an idea of which brand it might be? Even a doorstop deserves a name. Thanks, Gerard
Thanks Jeff. Could very wel be. Searching "Nulite iron" leads to the Coleman Colectors forum with lamps that look rather similar, though not completely. Adding "doorstop" to the search in Google leads to more irons
Nulite might be correct. Check the part with irons over at Terry Marsh' page here, and scroll down to the National Stamping and Electric works (Nulite). The second one called "Comfort Iron" (he has placed the explaining text below the pictures!) looks like yours apart from the iron plate which has no text on yours.
indeed, rather similar. On the web pictures of catalogues from 1922 and 1929 show look alike Nulit irons. Thanks for leading me to this trail, Gerard
@Gerard Would you be so kind as to measure the length and width (at the centre point) of the wooden handle of your iron. Thank you in advance. Tony
@Gerard I’m away from my shed at the moment, but I have a Gloria iron that has a wooden handle like yours and I wanted to check the dimensions. I will get back to you when I return home. Cheers Tony
