My 7th Purchase - Primus - Sweden make Pressure Lamp Dear CPL Lovers I purchased this item in online, Will reach to me in a day or two. Any Idea about this Pressure Lamp Seller told me that it is working conditions 1. Model Number ? 2. Year of Manufacturing ? 3. How much Value will be ?
This is probably model 1082 or 1092. They were made during the 1950s and will be dated either with a stamp in the base or on the label. Actually I am not the expert here. Nils and the Swedish guys know more about Primus than I do. Primus lanterns are well made and this one will restore well. We don't do values here so I can't help with that and in any case value depends on condition and while this one looks filthy the condition under the dirt is unknown. ::Neil::
@george Yes you are true, I do not No this subject much, but suddenly some enthusiasm came started collecting. Let’s see how far it goes
This looks like it is a 1082 with the reseller badge on the collar from FR Racek. I think there is one in the gallery. I am not sure the top is original, but it is difficult to see properly. The date code should be marked under the lamp in the centre of the base.
@Nils Stephenson Dear Sir Thank you so much for the details. I am receiving the courier by tomorrow, I will & Update the Date
@Nils Stephenson @Mackburner Dear Sir Model No.1082 300 CP You Both are correct about Model No. courier arrived and started dismantling for cleaning. Old owner ( Some body) painted with Green paint. Removing to bring back to its original position How to find year of Manufacturing ? What is AN 20 ( Under the Tank Bottom)
AN is the date code for 1949. We don't know what the numbers mean but all Primus lamps and stoves are date coded starting with A in 1911 to Z in 1935 missing out Q. Then AA in 1936 to AV in 1956 again missing out Q. ::Neil::
Hello @ASHOK KUMAR Paint can be quite easily removed with some paint removers/strippers from your local hardware store. Those that contain methylene chloride(dichloromethane) are usually the strongest. Be careful with those. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. You can finish up with acetone.
Hello sir Kumar, Congratulation, the Primus lantern is always a great companion For the disease i think that the doctor may have labeled a lamp virus without remedy with difficult control Regards, Titoo.
Unfortunately it isn't! We don't know what the numbers below the date code means. Some sort of quality station number, or anything else. We just don't know (yet).
