Here's my Quirks Victory table lamp with shade bought from Albert White many years ago and apart from having a green handle, it's the same as @Nils example Quirk's Victory Table Lamp With flash Without flash With shade, without flash. The shade looks good but it really cuts out the light and at only 42 cms high, the lamp doesn't light up much of the room. No danger of leaks here, the thread sealer has set like concrete The adapter is soldered into the original control cock fitting A thin brass disc screws into the mixing tube and centralises the jet Henry.
Thank you Henry, for a fine presentation of the lamp. I have one of Albert’s that I haven’t posted here yet. It came with a fitter and glass shade (I think that was Albert’s making). It does not have a threaded hole for a finial. Cheers Tony @Henry Plews
Thank you @JEFF JOHNSON and @Tony Press Tony, I notice the dome nuts on the handle studs on your lamp Quirk's Victory Table Lamp appear to be much taller than on other examples in the gallery; are they or is it an optical illusion ? The nuts on my example are a mere 12.5 ml tall. Henry.
Thanks @James K. I thought the few images of parts would compliment the more comprehensive ones posted by others. Henry.
Hello Juan, no, my lamp does not have a glass. For the short time that I ran it, it was O.K. but I think if I was going to run it all night, it would be better if it did. A Vapalux / BiAladdin glass will fit but a glass for a Handi Kero-Pet is better. Handi Kero- Pet Reproductio Henry.
@Henry Plews I noticed that I did not get back to you about the dome nuts on the studs on the tanks of my Quirk’s lamp. Here is the “normal” dome nut (left) next to the one on my lamp here. Cheers Tony
@Tony Press To be honest, I'd forgotten about it, so no worries. I see that although the nuts are taller, they're slimmer, not too big a deal though as both variants beautify somewhat, the bare studs. Henry.
I have memories of meals when around 6yrs with the pork pie tilley on top of a powdered milk tin, on the table so the tight spread a bit more.
