    Hi all, if a bail doesn't turn up through my wanted add would any of you craftsman be prepared to make a facsimile of one for me please, my new lantern looks a little bare without it plus it would be nice to be able to pick it up on the odd occasion that i might decide to use it,
    Thanks.

    I have made copies of Veritas Superb bails which look very close... the problem is the material is not spring steel so it can't be trusted if the bail stays in position by spring action.

    If it just has to look the part I can make one depending on how it fits to the lamp.

    *Update*

    I just had a look in the reference gallery and if you only want the upper part, I can do that but I'd need a template.

    It is missing the whole handle Colin, the only things present are the threaded studs on the tank.

    Ahhh, that's a bit more of a challenge. If anyone has the lower arms I could make the top section If someone could draw round the upper part and send it.

    I'll have plenty of time!!!

    Just a thought, but might it be possible to make the lower sections by cannibalising an X246A frame?
    I assume the tank studs are the same size.

    If I can remove the handle from one of mine I’d be willing to send it to Colin. Just need to be covered for cost (1st class signed for) of P&P and same for Colin to send it back to me. Any good?

    I'm willing... should be approximately £3 I think.

    @ColinG

    I've got a later PL53 bail and the lower part fits on to the threaded studs fine (although the attachments look different) but if the ends are meant to swivel then these are seized but apart from them being brass and the wrong colour they look as though they would end up in roughly the same position as on the X410A if bent correctly.
