Darryl, beautiful wall lamp and very well finished. The pump certainly adds character. I wonder about the picture frame hook securing it but note the weight of the unit, even fuelled, is well within the rated holding power of such a hook when just being hung there. I presume it is operated off wall initially, such as when being pressurised. Wonderful lamp to have in any collection. Congratulations.
Very nice, Darryl. Are they the parts that came with the lamp? And did you find it in Australia? Cheers Tony @Darryl Durdin
I found it as a tank and a stem. I put a cock valve and vap that i had and used a gallery head that came off another lamp. I got it from somewhere in victoria, it was a good score, as you need to be vigilent when looking on gumtree or the other place. It wasnt in the original picture but in the back ground.
Very nice indeed!.. and bright! I am also interested in the gallery you used...Was it a Tilley gallery/burner as far as you know? Would it be possible to have some more pics/close-ups of it at all?...It looks a bit different? Many thanks!
Darryl, That is a really nice lamp. It looks great burning away. I have lost virtually all interest in Tilley lamps but I do have one of these proudly on display.
@podbros , hi there, it is an after market burner and gallery all in one from korea. When i came across the lamp it was just the tank and curved tube.
Hi @Darryl Durdin ...was it now?...interesting stuff..... ...Thanks for getting back, and whatever those mantles are they really do the job! Cheers!
