I was lucky to find a 282 recently. Hardly been used, still on its first mantle. Lights easily & burns brightly. Dated 08 - 03. Very pleased with it, although it's a much different to a good old 249. Wonder where the control for the needle pricker is ? I wasn't aware that these later Coleman Kerosene lanterns were available here. On the other hand, I've just missed out on a 249 or a 242 in MINT condition for AU$50. Apparently a collector drove for two hours to pick it up. I'm so disgusted. Talk about early birds getting the worms.
In Coleman speak, Duel Fuel doesn't mean Petrol or Kero', it means Coleman Fuel or Unleaded Gasoline. I'm sure your local veterinarian will be able to supply you with an appropriate vermifuge.
Oops! My mistake, sorry. The 282 I'm running on Coleman Fuel only, thanks. ( A local store has old prices on that fuel, so I've cleaned them out ). The second lucky find of the week is a 214 Coleman Lantern, which is on kerosene. And finally, the third lucky find of the week was a SVEA 5 stove, complete. I should go buy a lottery ticket. Or a dictionary: vermifuge, vermicelli, verisimilitude....etc. (Reminds me of that TV series, and the library books, "All Creatures Great and Small"). (Duel - mit pistols/swords/etc) (Dual - two off, as in 'Dynamic Duo') Cheers. Paul.
