Hi fellas what do I have here,
I did a basic check over and it works first time, no idea but should it be brighter, the mantles look only to be burning in certain places, F1BC294C-F7B0-41A0-B3C4-E6D67DB8C809.jpeg 03F98445-A9B7-43BB-8F39-B1892451F9A5.jpeg 5A2E3A0D-AAC4-458F-AA53-E5FD3EBEA461.jpeg 6A9DA743-8839-4457-8002-90911273451E.jpeg F00A3849-10D0-4E28-8515-B0D5090F017E.jpeg BF7C600F-7B26-4269-B64B-111D74511C11.jpeg 60014B77-F958-41F1-8F2E-344BFBB0DFF5.jpeg D135A959-2E1F-466F-A4CF-BAFEF1D473A6.jpeg 9F55E643-D886-463D-8DB6-067C28050EB9.jpeg 94961C86-ECE7-421E-98EA-4EDDF9DBB9D2.jpeg

Might need to prick the genny tip. More pressure? Contaminated fuel or running rich may cause black spots on a mantle, usually will burn off if run a bit.

Looks like a mid 20s L327, although no date would make it 20 to 24. Does it say quicklite on the collar?

Great old lantern @Darryl Durdin it appears to have a stamp under the filler with no numbers below? If so that would've been produced shortly before date stamping started in September 1924.

I like the old mica chimneys for reading when camping, less glare. With holes, those have to be used in the Fall.

Are you sure there aren't tiny date stamp numbers under the coleman logo?

I've a L327 without logo, and no date too.

@Brian Reynolds , it has Coleman quicklite on the collar, I can only see the Coleman badge/logo, no dates or numbers

@Darryl Durdin does the air tube have single or double patent dates? Does the valve wheel have a C stamp by chance?

I haven’t done anything to it, just had it running for long periods of time, seems to me better, maybe better when I give it a birthday

What metal (and its gauge) are you using for the mica frame? It looks good.

    Hi @Darryl Durdin ,
I'm very interesting with mica globes.
How do you assemble the elements? Would it be possible to have construction / assembly details?
    Regards.

@Sellig33 , hi there, I’ll be making another globe soon, I’ll post how I make them, I have limited tools so I keep it simple, mica is hard to find, mine came from Germany it’s not cheap, €290. But it is the best quality as size. I will post also about how the old mica globes are constructed, I’ll deconstruct one

Patient job, thank you for sharing. I've a couple lanterns with the different lighting door in the chimney I think or did have.
