After buying a rather nice Saffire heater, that had a very dry and worn wick. I decided because I couldn’t wait to see it burn, to make a new wick from flat wick from which I have a few meter in stock. I must say, it “worked” but there is not enough paraffine coming to the flame. So I ordered a new original wick. But it’s possible with a bit of patience and a sewing machine to make a new wick. I used 2 layers of wick material, but forgot to take pictures of the wick.Only made the wick too short, so it doesn’t come up high enough. So this is all the flame I was able to create. Really like the look of this heater, it’s a mix of a lantern and a heater.
