I was lucky enough to get one of these about 2 years ago. I love this lantern and run it often. I have even taken this one camping. It sure gets a lot of attention. All original except the mica globe.
Lucky indeed! Another excellent and rare lantern in superb condition. What is the diameter of the mica globe? and the tank? This looks to be a large lantern, but without a reference I can't tell. What's it like compared to a 228? You have a very fine collection of these old Colemans. I'm envious. Dan
Now I'm really, really envious! Thanks for the line-up. It's a great picture and very helpful to see the size progression of the early Coleman lanterns. The AL319 was larger as I thought. What is the diameter of the base of tank and of the mica globe? I'm curious how it stacks up to an AGM 334 (which I'm in the process restoring). That's a very fine (and very valuable) collection.
