Hi all, A fine exemple of the Storm King lantern model N° 100 circa 1917 by National Stamping & Electric Works Mfrs. On the small inner shild it is stamped: National Stamping & Electric works Mfrs Trade Storm King Mark Patent Pending CHICAGO USA Original mica globe. Regards, Titoo.
Amazing condition for sure ! Has this one been re plated ? If not you never find them that nice so we’ll done!
Thank you all This lamp has not been used much. If you observe the lamps that i present on this excellent forum you will notice that they are often NOS or mint condition. I am very picky about reasearch and purchase. I still have some wonders in my reserve to present. Regards, Titoo.
A splendid example from bygone times. I am impressed by how stable these old American pressure lamps are. Regards Reinhard
Titoo, it is important to note that the patent is for the heat shield only, not for the entire lantern. That is an amazing finish on the lantern, congratulations.
Hi Matty, I agree with you the lantern already existed for a few years. The benchmark for 1917 was the new shield protected with markings to warn other companies not to be able to copy during the legal term of the patent. Regards, Titoo.
Congratulations Titoo on such a beautiful old lamp. You do very well to find such lovely lamps and very kind of you to share them with us. Keep collecting and illuminating us with your prizes. James
