    A fine exemple of the Storm King lantern model N° 100 circa 1917 by National Stamping & Electric Works Mfrs.
    On the small inner shild it is stamped:

    National Stamping & Electric works Mfrs
    Trade
    Storm King
    Mark
    Patent Pending
    CHICAGO USA

    Original mica globe.

    This lamp has not been used much.
    If you observe the lamps that i present on this excellent forum you will notice that they are often NOS
    or mint condition.
    I am very picky about reasearch and purchase.
    I still have some wonders in my reserve to present.

    Titoo, it is important to note that the patent is for the heat shield only, not for the entire lantern.

    That is an amazing finish on the lantern, congratulations.

    I agree with you the lantern already existed for a few years.
    The benchmark for 1917 was the new shield protected with markings to warn other companies not to be
    able to copy during the legal term of the patent.
