Hi all, Here is my example of the 300 CP kerosene Welsbach 3008 table lamp from around 1925. This lamp is the same as the one Neil shows here in the reference gallery. After cleaning the lamp it turned out to have a copper finish opposed to the usual brass you expect to find. Of course there was a broken cleaning needle but I managed to put together the tip end of a Washington burner needle and the original needle base. A bit trickier was to get a cast metal pre-heater cup/ring/reservoir that was missing. Neil was kind enough to lend me his pre-heater so I could have me a new one made (thanks Neil!). A nice stylish lamp with a bit similarity looks as some of the Blanchard table lamps. /Conny
You got a nice job done on that pre heater casting. Your lamp looks better than mine because the enamell is better and you have the top cap which I am missing. Rare lamps these. I think I know of maybe three or four only. ::Neil::
Hello Neil, In good condition, clean. And well maintained original condition. I like both conditions. Thanks.
Hi Conny a first class restoration on a realy beautifull lamp,i realy do like the copper finnished tank with the brass pump valves and pressure realese screw and name plate, the two different metal colours and the white globe and white porcaline stem and green enammeled hood realy does set it off and gives it a touch of class
Thanks Steve, It’s always nice to have a complete original lamp. The pre heating reservoir is not original though, but a new made replica. I think I can live with that. /Conny
