Hello everyone, This is my example of the 1051, stamped U, this one was manufactured in 1930. The 1051 shares the size, and some parts with the 1001, such as the wide glass stand ( about the same width as the fount ) and the vent. The glass cylinder size is more or less unique for the 1001/1051 lanterns, but the lantern looks good with a mica globe, if the glass cylinder should be missing. The 1051 also uses an unique NRV, it looks and function as the normal one but it's bigger, also a part that is hard to find. As you can see, the filler cap looks just like a Coleman one (except for the Primus name ) and a coleman cap can be used as a substitute, that also goes for the generator, where an older Coleman R55 will work, however depending on the lenght of the threads of the generator some will not fit, i have tested my 1051 with an R55 and it works well, even thou the lantern runs more steady with the original one.
