    Hi all,
that's my first petrol/gasoline lamp. It missed jet and pricker needle which when I acquired it, but I was able to complete it with the parts of a Coleman vaporizer. It runs now very bright and silent on Aspen 4T fuel and should give about 300CP. It produces absolutely no smell. Fortunately this one also has an old original glass globe.
Opposite to Ditmars paraffin/kerosene types it has a needle valve for the fuel which is driven by the pricker dial. Further differences are: no air screw on the tank lid, a heat shield at the bottom of the cage and the mixing tube has an air restrictor similar to alcohol burning lanterns.
The vaporizer has a sheet of metal soldered to its top which makes preheating by a match easier.
    Enjoy the pictures:

Beautyfull lamp Martin and in stunning conditíon Again.
I didnt know Ditmar made gasoline-lamps, but it seems to be the same high quality as they made the 501 in (the only one I got to compare with).
I have actually never seen a better build lamp.
Strange they put a heat-deflector in the gasolinelamp and not the kerosinelamps ?
You are Lucky to have the original glass as they dont often show on Ebay.
