Hi, there are already a lot of these in the gallery but I am posting it because there are many variations in this lamp.
Some brass, some steel and different combinations.
Apart from a very minor clean this is how it came to me.

This one is steel fount and steel fount base with every thing else in brass.
Fount, goose neck and control cock were originally painted silver.
Has the brass control cock knob.
The lamp has had a lot of use in its time because the grips on the pump and pump cover are almost worn completely off.

    The decal I think says,

    " Important
    This container is made of
    tinned steel and must be
    emptied and dried by gentle
    heat monthly or before any
    period of disuse. Always
    use funnel when filling."
