    Did that accessory tin come with the lamp? Is it meant to be attached to a storage box?

    Just wondering if that box fits on the flat back part of handle looking at the 2 holes etc .

    You'd be correct in your assumption, yes.
    The two screws one can see in the last picture are used to keep the storage box in place.
    The neat little accessory tin fits into the box.
