1941 Coleman 243A Black hood

    This is the third type of these lamps and the second A model. Still 175 cp and with a mica globe and a stud fitting for the hood. You can see this one has a black hood which is the more common type to be found and also it has two lighting holes in the globe cage base plate. I am not sure exctly when this model was replaced with the last of the A types but it will be somewhere around 1945. It is not easy to see the date numbers in this one. The figure 1 is a little obscure but take a careful look at the left side of the last image and it is just visible.
