1948 Primus No. 981

    Hello everyone, this is my example of a Primus 981.
    I had it sitting on the shelve for a long time, but recently decided to bring it back to life during this year's collectors meeting in Lungern / Switzerland.
    It seems that it had been heavily used, and one of the previous owners decided to remove almost all of the nickel plating. Since it has minor dings in various places and a nice patina that is part of its history, I'm not going to polish it back to a high shine either.
    After a thorough cleaning and with a new nozzle and needle, it runs like clockwork. The mantle is obviously the wrong size, but since it works perfectly, I will leave it as is.
