    Hello !

I found me one Primus 1082, this one made back in 1949.
This one did not look very good when i found it, and i basically purchased it because of the wheel, as my other 1082 missed the center part that says Primus sweden.
However as this one turned out as good as it did, i now have two 1082's but only one complete wheel still. :-)

The Vaporizer on this one has Petromax made in Germany written on it's top part, i do not know if Primus used Petromax parts on these clones, or if someone has changed the Vaporizer.

I put in a 250cp jet in the lantern and it runs both steady and bright.

A nice find Frederik. It's always nice to have an example from the first year they were made.

The vapouriser must have been changed at some time. Primus used ones that are marked Primus. The jet should be 300cp. An Optimus jet works fine.

Hi Nils yes it is, and the other one i have is one year before they first where made :-) (AM)
That one was fitted with a 250 jet, so i know that they work fine, but yes why not try a bigger one !
Yes the vaporizer was probably changed, this one has been a work horse for sure.

For a work horse it sure looks good. You should see one of the 1082s I have that has been well used. :)

I had forgotten about your 1948 lantern. It's the only one I've seen (or heard about). The catalogues I know about didn't start listing this model until 1950 either. The earliest lantern I have is from 1950, so I'm quite jealous. :)
