1950 Coleman 243A

    This is the last type of 243A made in the US. Still a 175cp single mantle gasoline lantern with mica globe but with a change of burner casting incorporating the addition of a top nut fitter to hold the hood. The date stamps in the base indicate September 1950 which I had thought was after this model had been dropped from the range but it can't be month 0 of 1949 and this type was not introduced until about 1945 so it has to be 1950.
