Another lamp for the collection. I thought the hood was better than it turned out as the seller cleverly pictured the best side and did not show the true condition but what can you do hey. I just need to find the right glass now.

    ...Hi Matthew !

Didn't know where to ask this so here I am.....

Very fine lamp there..(here)...Lovely!.....I have some questions about the Shade?...

I take it that this is an original shade, as on another exhibit nearby there is one also?...(That's not a question, just me waffling)....

QUESTION 1...Does the ring in the top of the shade sit on the 'outside' of the gallery, resting on the air vent buttons?.... :-k

QUESTION 2...As far as you can ascertain, what is the material used for the shade, in your opinion? This would include the 'Stitching' down the seam and the top and bottom bling things?... :-k

    Yours sincerely,

    PB

These shades were near identical to Tilley shade of the period. The inner ring sits on the gallery buttons. The material is a synthetic parchment type. It is rare to find an original but a few people have made reproductions which can look pretty near the originals. ::Neil::
