1953 - Primus 1082S

    This is Primus' first attempt at making a lantern that has more than 300cp. It is just their standard 300cp 1082, but with a larger jet and needle. To make sure the customers could see it was something special they added the special hood and the label to the collar stating the model number and 450cp. Probably more accurate than all the other 500cp Petromax clones of the time (or Petromax themselves for that matter).

    This style hood was only used on the 1082S and 1084S. They probably did not sell well as they were only listed in their catalogues from 1952 to 1954.
