This is the rare Rijkswaterstaat - http://www.rijkswaterstaat.nl/english - version of this lantern.

The Rijkswaterstaat is a branch of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and Tilley provided this lantern to them under contract.

The sharp-eyed will have noticed that it came complete with a not quite hemi-cylindrical reflector:-

...and a nice set of instructions, as well as a standard funnel and lighting torch.

What a nice lamp David - you Lucky potato :D/ Shocking what is still to be found out there :D/

Is the lamp painted by the Dutch or did it come in this awesome colour direct from Tilley?

It looks to be in stunning condition and without missing parts. You are fortunate the parabol and the papers followed to really "complete" this awesome finding  .

    Gratulation

It's a Tilley colour, Claus, seen on some lanterns and radiators - but not on the SDR, except for this version...
