1960s Fair 300cp Italy

    This seems to be a well made solid lantern. Probably a copy of an Optimus 300. I have seen a 200 cp version of this which had a fibre control wheel but this one has a plastic wheel. Odd thing is the wheel and the burner valve casting are both marked as Solex. That is another Italian brand and I don't know if these fittings are original to this lantern or aftermarket replacements. As bought it had a broken pricker and a jet with a huge hole so I replaced them with parts for Petromax 350 and it works very well. ::Neil::

    what a nice find!
    The centre bottom (#122/Petromax)is the same like in my Solar.
