1969 January Tilley X246B, Gold

The plating was too far gone on this one so, we had no choice, but to re-spray.



i know there are not too many in this forum so i'm going to add mine.

 

You know when things just eat at you, well again I wasn't happy with the colour of this lamp so of course I had to get my spray painter which is my son to do a full colour change and here it is.

Now that's much better, now I can sleep.

 

I didn't think the first colour was too bad but this is definitely an improvement.

 

@Henry Plews, does the colour look a closer match to original? I dont really know as most of ours are plated ones.

 

I'm not really sure, possibly a little on the dark side but that could be my monitor settings.

 

Hi all I managed to get another bail that is in better condition than the previous one all shinny chrome now.
Here are the photos looks so much better now.

 

It looks fine.
