Longtime lurker, first time poster. Thought I'd share a recent fettle of a 134 that has many stories to tell I'm sure. Hopefully for many years to come.

Sorry no before pictures, just imagine if you will lots more dirt and no globe :)

Thanks Tony, I can if that's wanted. It's not a beautiful example by any means, but it's more than welcome to be pictured there :content:

Thanks Poncho! Your kind words are always appreciated

The Reference Galley is for all examples of lamps and lanterns, not just the bling. As a matter of fact it’s good to see the used condition of the found lamp.

I for one would most welcome you posting it in the Reference Gallery with its date, stamps, generator, burner and distinguishing features.

I was actually looking at the Coleman book today trying to figure what model this lamp I’ve got is, and was looking at the 134 series.

    134, 134A, 134G, 134P

By the way, where did you get that shade?

    Cheers

    Tony

Sounds good Tony. I will grab some more photos of the lamps details and post it over in the reference gallery.

Did you ID your lamp you were looking up?

The shade is just a cheapy from a local Menards that I stenciled to make it look more appropriate :)

PS. I've got several U.S. lamps/lanterns I will slowly start posting in time. Stay tuned :D

    I’m getting close, by elimination.

It’s got a patch of rust and solder right where the bottom stamp is on the small 2 pint tank, so it’s only partly readable. I’ll get there with the Reference Gallery, Neil’s PLC, CCS, and the two Coleman books.

I’ve also got a cream and gold Coleman 128C that I’m working on at the moment. I should have it posted on the weekend.

    Cheers

Thank you for the kind welcome to the forum everyone! It's much appreciated. Once work slows a little I will share some more.

@Tony Press I look forward to seeing your mystery lamp once you get it figured out :)

I’ve figured it, and confirmed my suspicions with Neil McRae (and learned some new things along the way). It’s a 1947 Canadian Coleman 158 in Silvertone Green, with a handle not usually seen on this model.

I shall get it into the Reference Gallery soonish.

    Cheers

I'll be waiting anxiously @Tony Press :) Coleman Canada had some neat colors, especially those 158's!
