What kind of glass or globe should this lamp have?
(Moderator edit from Finnish.)
Mauri, it did probably have a globe like in the illustration below.
It's from a 1907 year catalogue (courtesy of Björn Olde). The one with a wider rim is for outdoor use.
The one to the right is similar to yours, especially if you can use that globe holder that is laid upside down below your lamp.
Or possibly this one if it's a smaller lamp, but yours do look like a larger one:
It's a pity that the pressure regulator on top of the tank is incomplete!
Or do you have all parts? Perhaps they just are removed on the picture?
An excellent restoration project!
You are welcome, Mauri.
Here is how the regulator on top of your tank should look like, in case you are interested.
This is from a Lux tank, but they are identical since Aladdin copied Lux pretty unabashedly until they got sued for it...
It's no. 8215, and it looks like the one I have on an actual Aladdin tank:
Kiitos: minulla ei ole säätöventtiiliä puuttuu muitakin pieniä osia
“Thank you: I have no control valve missing other small parts”.
Another great looking lamp!
