Austramax Lamp

    Picked this up today Austramax Lamp with box.
    Still had part of the shade still attached .
    Helps when making a new one .
    This model would be the holy grail of Austramaxs.

    Wow Bob, where did you find that ? What an amazing project for you !!! I have seen the table lamp version with the same top as the lantern but not this one with a shade. Love to see it working when your finished. Maybe Pam can make you a parchment shade for it

    That is a great find. One of those has been on my wish list for ages. I'm looking forward to seeing it restored.

    Does anyone know what the "Dual purpose" is?

    Well I've just answered my own question. I found the description on the back of an old instruction booklet for the lantern.

    Great find
    Where were the likes of that and Astro's finds, not at the swap I went to yesterday all I could find was an over pumped X246A 2-1959 X246's 4-Alladin 1A's and a Kopsen AP2
