Quick light up tonight to illuminate a cuppa in the garden. Back to where it all started last summer with my first two lanterns, my Tilley X246 with the pork pie hood and the Bialaddin 315 which was my first attempt at spray painting. Still not really warm enough here in the UK to be sitting out for too long.

Ah, that’s where the bowl fires come into their own.

Lovely pic of two British lanterns earning their keep. And as John says, you definitely need a bowl-fire or two in there to keep them company. :)

You look to have a very nice back garden there - properly reminds me of my own one here in GL. :^o

Yes, the bowl fire would have helped but it was a very quick cuppa! The garden is a blessing and a curse, I spend more time keeping up to it than I then have to enjoy it!

Looking good! It’s what it’s all about, enjoying light from a fettled lamp.
You need some machinery to help with the gardening!

Nice one Scott. I remember my first two which were a lovely M1 and a Bialaddin 320.

Good effort, it is still a bit nippy outside for a light up, but won't be long.
