Quite a few of these have surfaced in the past year or so. They are a 100 cp burner but much the same as the bigger 350 cp in looks and operation.

It's a fine lamp! I only have the tank & the pump & the pressure release and the wooden handle, but that's a start I suppose, Jeff.

Hi Jeff ! Is that all you,ve got after lamp collecting since the mid 90's!
Well ! I,ve got news for you thats one tank ,valve and handle plus the other bit you said ,more than I have ever found of this lamp.
Been collecting since 1992 and this is one of those very illusive lamps never to come my way. Plenty of other Blanchards that hang from a wall or ceiling but never this one ! ...mick

Hello Mick, yes, time flies, I started collecting in 1993/4.

But my assocation with Tilleys started on the 21/12/1955 at 3.10pm!

That's when I was born to the light of a Tilley wall lamp!

I have considered using this tank to make one of my cobbled together lamps, but I would rather it was rebuilt as it should be, Jeff.

Elusive stuff. I have a few but there are still a few I would like to add to the pile. Never had a chance at a wall model for instance and one day it would be nice to find the lower end of the do nut I have.

I picked up two of those lamps in military boxes with wrench and mantles. They seems not to be used or once or two for test.
I guess the fuel is kerosene ? What is the way to preheat the burner ?
    thanks in advance for help.

Lucky you Michel :D They are Kerosene lamps. There is a preheating tray in the burner assembly that is filled with alcohol via a spout at the top of the burner.

James : thanks, Yes, easy to find, I am tired ;-)

Wim : the 2 boxes are differents as you can see. 3882 is painted on and 4036 is writed with chalk pencil. Nothing in the boxes but the burners are both engraved "150 CP 12 39". I guess this is the production's year.
The man I bought the lamps said me his father have brought back the boxes from the French Army in 1938 (he must confuse the dates). He was in SaÏgon in the french colony of Indochine.
I don't know how the French Army had this English equipment, and I don't believe the English Army was in this area ????

    Hello Michel,

Thanks for the picture. Are your boxes/lamps complete ?

Is the layout of the boxes the same ? So in other words are they made by the same factory.

I know India had something with the British... So that is in the same neighbourhood.

yes, the boxes are complete (and identical) except for the wire guard as on Wim's lamp.
I'll put a picture when the lamp will be cleaned.
and I'll perhaps sell one because of place's problem in the house, I don't know.
