Hi,, this is another Blanchard double burner i think it is early 1920s model 1205 with the number 1100 on the arm this is not a model number?? iam not sure that this one had reflectors on it maybe had the same set up as the table lamp it doesn't seem enough room for them? but this may not be the case.. kenny..
Hello Kenny, another fine lamp! I reckon that you are correct about this lamp not having had reflectors. In my opinion, it would have had the same burner set up as is shown on Pete's wall lamp, to see that lamp click on the link below. There is a Blanchard twin burner lamp shown in the 1914 adverts, (model number 1255) it is shown with the same burner set up as the wall lamp, and there is no room for reflectors, also it's advertised as an indoor lamp and fancy silk shades were an optional extra, this lamp has a different style of tank and it was rated at only 200cp.. I reckon that this example of yours would have been advertised in the same way, just a few years later. Also in the 1914 adverts, it's stated that Blanchard made 30 different models. The earliest Blanchard advert which I have is dated 1909 and it shows an outside 500cp., do-nut lamp, (model number 1600) this advert also mentions that several sizes of this lamp were available up 1200cp., and down to a 50cp., lamp. A 100cp., table lamp is also mentioned and so is a street lamp, which is of the usual design having the fuel/pressure tank inside the base of the street lamp, Jeff. http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/66
