Hello all, I was lucky enough to find this Coleman 157 with a Coleman 159X, I forgot to add this in the Reference Galley when I posted the 159X.
They were both sitting on a shelf together, so of course I had to buy them both, who wouldn't?
Besides which one would I choose? Impossible question.
So here are some photos to look at.

    Hi Brian
That looks very nice and it would have felt lonely left there, so had to come with you.. :-)
The shade really sets it off

is the darker colour a type of green?

    thanks,
    pb

I believe it's mostly gold, and maybe a tinge of green, this could be the way it was sprayed, or age perhaps?
So to answer your question I am not 100% sure myself.

If the 157 is like my 156, it is a gold paint that fades into a cream/off white. The wood handle is the same.
