    Will the glass on the shade stand up to the heat from the lamp over the long term

    There is a Pyrex globe under the shade. The glass panels on the shade do not get very hot and been separate from each other do not undergo stresses that a one piece globe would do from the heat.

    Congratulations Andrew, I would call using a shade from an electric lamp for a pressure lamp upscaling!
