I've had this a while now but couldn't light it up until I got a replacement generator, thanks to Mike at old Coleman partsfor a reproduction Q99 generator. I've cleaned it up as well as can without taking the nickle plating off so it does show a certain amount of patina. The shade i borrowed from one of my aladdins. The only writing on it is on the black handle, nothing on the tank and the burner has the patent date of 1919 so I'm not sure of the date of production It's running on holts brake cleaner and using Coleman no 21 string tie mantles.
@Mr cod Nice looking lamp and well fettled. These are well built, solid and when fettled are very reliable lamps. Your workshop looks good too. Cheers Pete
It's got the Patent date 1919 so it's post May 13th 1919 Assuming the control wheel is original to the lamp It doesn't have a Bakelite control wheel which was introduced in 1928 Is there a letter stamped on the face of the control wheel ? Pre 1922 no letter A: 1922 B : 1923 C : 1924 D : 1925 E : 1926 F : 1927 G : 1928 was a transitional year for the Bakelite knob with 7/16 inch glandnut. It's a nice looking lamp Mr Cod.
