Coleman Quick Light aglow

    Here's an early Coleman Quick Light after a good polish and R-55 refurbish. It's all original except, of course, for the Akron Diamond glass shade. While I appreciate all the old original Coleman shades, this "Diamond" shade gives the CQ a good look...

    I didn't bother with the "before", since we all know what 85 years does to a once lovely fount...

    Nice lamp. Did you have the font replated. If so chromium or nickel?

    Looks to be an original nickel plate on that fount. As you may be familiar, some lamps and lanterns were stored in more-favourable conditions... and when one such of the nickel Coleman is found they may clean up rather easily.

    And, lamps and lanterns always look better through the camera's eye!
