hi all here is a Lamp made by the Intens Society (1 rue de l'aqueduc, Paris) it seems to be the second model of the lamp I presented the first one here : My last restoration project this lamp borrows its technology from Aida the body of the lamp is french but the burner, the generator and the jet are Aïda origin That's what has been my problem in putting this lamp back into operation. I did not have any of these parts because the lamp had been electrified and the elements thrown away. I used parts of Sea Anchor, but it was necessary to adapt them. the burner was cut out to enter the cage and I mounted a generator, and old Optimus lamp needle holder. So I was able to put a needle type Petromax, because the needles of ancient Aida are impossible to find. With some tests to adjust the height of the burner, it works. I hope to be lucky to find the original burner parts somedays ;-)
Nice work ! Interesting to see how they made openings for the air to get in. Is the burner original do you think ? because the AIDA, let say 214 style, is with a different head, inner piece. with a square tube (bridge) as I can remember. This looks like a more modern Petromax design.
Hi Wim, you have to read my text attentively ;-) I wrote I had not those parts Here are the original parts, unfortunately they are not mine
