one of my collector guys was able to secure a coleman 316 arc,but it had been electrified and had couple switch holes and the bottom cut up so the electrician could reach in to make conections~~ was rough but saveable this was one of the holes patched with brass plug ad silver solder this was the hole cut in the bottom to wire it~~~~~ you can see the back plate inside used to strengthen the brass plug to patch a hole~~ I cut a cardbard template so I could cut the [patch from a donor CQ bottom template marked on donor fount bottom~~~ put a brass back plate into keep the patch secure while brazing in ~~~ patch in place before brazing ~~~ Brazed in and fresh lead wash on the entire bottom~~ just have to level the swirl around the bottom nut~~~~ then will be ready for a replate !!! ~~~ about 9 hours work so far!
funny you should say that~~~ we originally thought I would have to remove the entire bottom and replace with a CQ donor bottom! , but why do a heart transplant when a bypass would do! ;-)
