I found this lamp last year , one of only 556 made. It is no longer in my hands but I thought some outdoor photos would shine some light (pun) to show the blue colored handle.
This was manufactured by Coleman for the Everbright lamp co. of Torornto Canada, so it may not belong under the Coleman name in the LRG. Maybe under "other". Moderators will decide.
No it should list as a Canadian brand. Everbrite is a complicated brand and there are four table lamps. Three made by Coleman and one by Nulite. This one is the Canadian Everbrite Lamp Co model EB made by Coleman with a C fount and Z burner and the other three are Sears models sold in the US. We don't know if Coleman made the whole thing. At the time Coleman lamps had a fibra handle and the Ever Brites both for Sears and Everbrite have a turned woodle one. It is therefore possible that blue handle was made in Canada. Here are all four as illustrated in the PLC. ::Neil::
OK, I moved it to Canada. But this one is spelled as Everbright under the font. Not Everbrite. What's the deal about that?
Everbright is the proper spelling. Everbrite seems to be a corruption so as to be used by another manufacturer for their brand of lamps...copyright infringement??? Anything made for Sears US would not have been a Canadian product. The lamp in question was only sold by The T.Eaton Co. of Toronto Canada through their mail order catalog. (or is it catalogue?).
Yeah that's my fault. Must have had the brain in park. They are spelt differently in the PLC. The Canadian in English and the Sears lamps in American. It is just that the similarity can confuse. ::Neil::
This is a Canadian Everbright with the shade seen in advertisements for the lamp. It is a nice burner. Mike.
