    Hello.

We have a Floodlight Projector Tilley Lamp that we are hoping to restore. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone who might be able to help us out? We are based in the Oxfordshire area.

    Thank you.

Hello Pip and welcome to the forum.

You've come to the right place for help and advice. Is it just one or two points you're not sure about or the whole aspect of the restoration ? Pictures are always useful and can often help those with a good eye to identify possible problem areas.

    Henry.

    Hi Henry,

Thank you for getting back to me. I believe it is a whole restoration but I'm really not sure to be honest. We are restoring it for a television show where we restore lots of interesting items- but this is the first Tilley lamp!

I have attached a couple of pictures which hopefully give a bit of a better indication.

    Thank you

pdf-files don't work properly to show images directly in the posts.
Could you please upload as jpg instead?
Otherwise I can convert your files later, but I'm not at my computer for a while.

That is a mid 1950s Tilley FL6. I will send you the Instruction leaflet for it. Simple enough to fettle to run as the working parts are the same as just about any Tilley. The rest is cosmetic so just ckean and paint. ::Neil::
