For my grandad

This morning I received the sad news that my grandad passed away after a stay in hospital. He was more like a father to me after my actual father left when I was 8. He introduced me to paeaffin lamps and these are his 2 that he gave me.
Ive lit them both tonight in his memory.

I truly feel for you Gareth, my Grandad died in 1966 but he and my Grannie more or less brought me up during the war and I actually called them Mam and Dad. I inherited their Grandfather clock a few years ago and think about them especially on a Sunday morning when I wind it up just as Grandad did every Sunday.
