These are seriously rare lamps. I only know of two with collectors but I had the oportunity to borrow this one from its owner John Kidger to photograph a few years back.
Made by Gold Bros P. L. Ltd, Lower Tower Street, Birmingham, England in the mid 1920s. It has the look of a BP Cleary about it but is different. the patent stamped on the lamp was applied for by Arthur Ernest Harbord of "Holly Mount" Old Warwick Road Olton Warwickshire on Dec 7 1922 and was granted Dec 20 1923. This lamp therefore was made in or after 1923.

Yeah you probably out bid me for it if you got it from the Bay. Odd looking beasts and wasted on the guy I borrowed that one from. I would have had it running by now. Certainly rare though with only two or maybe three known examples. Let's see it working please. ::Neil::

Shame but sometimes you just have to give up and display only. Still nice to have and I wish I had one to play with. ::Neil::
