    Hi everyone,

A few years ago I was given a box with two Tilley Lanterns and some spare parts from the local Scouts, where I was for 30 years or so.
One of the tanks was overpressured and the other parts were not neat also. I have a Geniol 150cp with I have had a lot of problems, going through this site I learned the Tilleys are bomb-proof, so I was looking for one in good shape.
I found one online in one buy with a R1 heater.
After new parts and mantle it's my favourite lamp for a few years now.
Last week I was drinking some beers in the garage with the Tilley Lamp as heater and we talked about the lamp and the box of parts I had.
With a couple of beers the best ideas comes up, so now I had to make an as ugly as possible working Tilley "ratstyle" with the parts.
There was one burner witch is deformed and the nuts were stuck and wouldn't fit in the hood anymore. I gave up, but tonight I had to give it a try.
McGyver mode on and with some sawing and fitting some copper pipe it stays in the hood.
New mantle on, 3 times preheat and... it burns!
There are some black spots wich won't dissapear, but for now I'm happy. Here are some pictures:
