I saw this product used on a YouTube channel called Delboy's Garage. He used it on motorbike exhaust pipes to remove the blueish yellowy heat Mark's and also to get rid of flash rust and it did such a good job I thought I'd get some to try on lanterns. I tried it on a discoloured chrome Anchor hood that had suffered a major flare up and it worked pretty good... not perfect but much better than it was. I also tried it on a brass Tilley PL53 fount... It worked very well and you can probably see it had an instant effect on contact. I used an old toothbrush to gently scrub the surface, that's all. It has a small percentage of hydrochloric acid which is why it works I guess. I will definitely be using it in future but I'll be careful and wash the piece well afterwards.
