    This lamp has an odd feature which you can see at the bottom of the tank. Took me a while to work out what this was, I did think it might be a pressure releaase but seemed to be blocked. Not easy to dismantle but in the end I did and found it is a sort of meth reservoir-syringe. It probably holds enough meth for perhaps two or three lightings. The button just opens the end to allow air in and release meth from the business end into the meth cup. Odd little device which is surely patented but as yet not a patent I have been able to find.

    This lamp came to me missing the pump so I had a Tilley pump cap bored out and re threaded so the lamp could be run.

    These lamps, both table and wall, are designed to function with a 50/50 mix of paraffin and petrol.
