Evening all, new to this forum and even newer to Hipolito. Rookie here. Ran across 3 Hipolitos yesterday. They came home with me. Two H-502 and one H-202/250V. Really know nothing about them. Figured how to light one of the 502. Didn't try the other yet. The 202 the ceramic burner is broken. Ebay pics look like it just screws in to the tube. The threads are still in the tube. How do you get the broken part out? Also see them for different CP. I'm assuming it is 150 CP. Is that right? Any links as to where to get a replacement? Sorry for all the questions. Looking for help.

Just sitting here looking at this nozzle. Actually says 200/250 assuming that is CP.

@martym Hi and welcome from the Scottish Highlands. You’ve got some good lamps. Others with more knowledge will answer your questions, yes the ceramic burners screw out. If you put up some photos it’d help, besides we’re all nosey buggers!
Good luck with the lamps, look forward to seeing how you get on and seeing the money shots.

    Stevie

It the ceramic nozzle broke off and the threaded part is still present in the gas chamber you could carefully chisel it away. Try not to mess up the brass threads in the chamber.
You really need a replacement in the 250 size. 150 is too small and 500 too large. This part is easily available in europe. Dont know about your situation in the states.

    Hi @martym

Welcome to the forum. I’m not familiar with Hipolito lanterns personally as I don’t yet possess any, however I understand that they are generally very similar to Petromax an teens and at one time actually manufactured them for Petromax so you may find this link helpful: www.eschaefer.de/hobbys/starkl/px-rest.pdf

As @BigStevie said photographs help with diagnosis and advice and it’s always great to see another members lamps

    Regards Jeremy

That is an excellent guide for servicing a Petromax Jeremy posted. It will work perfectly for your Hipolitos.
