    I use a VPN on all my devices - just don't like folks tracking me...

    But when I try to login here it gives me a message that says my IP address is banned. So, i have to shut off the VPN and then login.

    Is there a work-around for this?

    Kevin

    @Phredd

    I use the same as you. At the moment it is showing me as being in The Netherlands.

    Hello, the forum software automatically uses a number of public lists where IPs with "recent abuse" are aggregated. So some other person or (spam)bot used the VPN for fraud or whatever. Some other sysop or administrator blocks the IP and subsequentally the IP is added to the block-list.
    Then you come into the play and use the shared IP of the VPN which now has been blocked by a vast number of websites that use these lists.

    Manually whitelisting your IP would increase the posibillity of abusive postings making it to the publically visible part of the forum.
    Wheter to do or not is a decission to be made by the owner of the site.
    Erik.

    I use Proton, and can access the site without a problem. :D/
    The only niggle is that it shows my location as the States, despite the VPN being set to the UK..? :?

    It could be that your vpn is using an IP address within a range I have banned due to spammers.

    I "solved" the problem by turning off the VPN.

    Have you tried changing your location so that you get a different range of IP addresses..? :-k
