Knuckle warmer finished

    Not for the purist out there I know, but then it came to me already stripped bare and minus it's top so not really giving me the option other than paint/polish/new top resto.
    Polished & VHT lacquered cage & vent ring, VHT matt black hood. Plastikote (brand) Gold which looks pretty close to original.
    I really like these, so damned heavy lol and so pretty.. T3[1].jpg

    Very nice, indeed! These pork pie knuckle roasters are a splendid example of a good quality Tilley lantern!

    I would have to say that this is the nicest restoration of a lamp of this type that I have seen. I don't think I will ever see one better.

    Thanks Marty, that means a lot.
    MrSys, just a rattle can but hours of prep first, several primer coats before finishing with 3 coats of the gold.
