Pics aren’t too good but here is my floor standard all lit up!
An elegant lamp!
That is sooooo good, Jean.
Looks great Jean.
Thanks Mark, pity you didn’t see that other one, lit or not!
Wow... it's a real privilege to see it lit!
Wow ....... awesome @Jean J
Very nice Jean.
How tall is that?
I think I'll make a dozen or so of them.
It’s roughly 5’ 3” to top of burner Anthony, this was the shortest version of the FS, the others were quite a bit taller I believe. A stand could be made Anthony I’m sure, also I think there will be electric standards of similar style that maybe could be utilised then if you had a spare copper bowl from a Jacobean (!) you could attach it and hey presto you have an FS.
Thanks Jean, that’s made my day!
Very special light up, there can't be many of these about.
Only know of two others James, one made its way from Ireland to Finland and a few years ago there was a report of one (possibly NOS unless it was used during power cuts) held in a hardware shop on Orkney.
I've always wanted to visit Orkney... I wonder if it's still priced up in old money?
Lots of us have had bargains of NOS sold for ‘old money’ prices but an FS for just a few ££s? Hold on, I bought mine for £25 in new money!
