Sliver ex MOD stock Vapalux M320. Condition shown is as purchased, it came with one mantle in a packet and a photocopy of the lantern instructions. Base of tank is stamped with MOD "Crows foot" and unit markings. The fount has been hand painted in sliver. In terms of fettling, a change of seals and a external wash with warm soapy water is the limit of restoration it will receive. I'd like to preserve the "in service look"

I have not seen a locking devise fitted for the pump handle on this model. I presume it was fitted post manufacture.

It is fitted with a internal wire to prevent the cap being lost from the tank. A simple measure to stop the lost of the cap from the fount, and prevent the cap being placed on the ground which may introduce dirt or contamination. It also doubles as the split pin - very practical.

Very pleased with this find, picked it up from a Military Surplus shop.

Quite a few manufactures designed a pump lock in to the mechanism, a useful addition, same goes for the cap retainer. Someone took time adding these additions and by the looks of things, the modifications were well executed. Its obviously a late lantern but these are just so well made and probably the most functional model of all, a keeper and definite user.
