Do you think mica in a al15 can be replaced
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: You can make it yourself if you’ve got the right gear; or, there are makers of mica globes out there...
Brian, there is a gentleman here in the US state of Ohio who makes mica globes and they are great! He's made a number of them for some of my very early Coleman lanterns. If you have all the measurements, I'm sure he could help.
Is that Fred Kuntz?
Yes and Fred has made Tilley Mica globes for me and possibly one or two others. Means he probably already has the measurements. He is worth the expense because his repro micas are superb. Also mail cost is minimal because they weigh very little. Email him firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for the information
