    Recently made a bulk purchase of lanterns and stoves, almost all of which were in parts condition, and this was among them. There's likely a proper CL1 vent hood among the bits and pieces I received, but the odds of it being the one from this lantern and unfired are negligible. It will also need a globe.

    Fate of this lantern is yet to be determined, but I thought it should be documented.

    It looks pretty good, all you need is a vent top, handle, and a glass. I don't think they would be too hard to find. This looks like a good and possibly easy fiddle. :D/

    @george As a budding apprentice electrician, over 50 years ago, my then tradesman would tell me I’d loose my eyesight if I didn’t stop a particular physical activity ...... =;

    Now where are my glasses ........

    Oh yes, it'll be easy to get into condition. I just don't do unfired, all my equipment are users. I've posted it in the trading post area, in case anyone is interested in an incomplete lantern this new, albeit in unfired condition.

    Otherwise I'll source the parts and put a match to it.

    Ha, Ha, it's still going to be a winner when you find the vent and glass!:clap:

    @Norman Thank you sir. I just bought a globe locally for about that price. Before purchasing a vent, I'll need to properly sort through a bulk purchase I just made and verify that there isn't one in that mess.

    The stoves are mostly empty cases, not a functional piece to be put together from the lot.

    The lanterns are another story; I'm at four functional lanerns made out of the lot so far. Five if you include this unfired one. Speaking of......

    Now complete!

    Mike @ Old Coleman Parts is a hop and a skip up the road from me, I'll be asking him if he wants what's left after I'm done. He has the infrastructure and market penetration to make sure the parts go where they need.

    Went ahead and fired it up. Here it is all the way to the right, in company of it's larger and older siblings. This is the first time it had been lit, ever. 20190807_185015.jpg

    Close up. I do have a thing for single mantle lanterns. I might be keeping this one. 20190807_185021.jpg
